Chowy is an iPhone app that keeps a dog’s history together for everyone who cares for them. Claude API is part of the beta: it helps find facts in records and turn a document into a draft.
Ask the book, with sources
After AI consent, Chowy’s server sends Claude the question and history context. Answers include record citations, whose identifiers the server checks. Owners can return to the original facts. Citations do not guarantee a correct answer: important conclusions still need checking.
A document becomes a draft
The owner chooses a photo or PDF. Claude extracts details for the owner to review before saving them to the book. The original remains the source to check; the AI does not prescribe treatment.
Try it with fictional records
On the website, choose “Ask Claude” to request an answer from Mura’s book. The demo accepts no personal documents. Requests are limited; generated answers may be reused for up to five minutes, with their generation time shown. The document and Chowy Sense examples use prepared results.
What comes next
We are exploring document translation, voice notes and access to the book through MCP. Compatible-device data and Chowy Sense are future directions, not available integrations. Medical decisions stay with the veterinarian.
